Empowering Learning: Univentures Group and Partners Donate Upcycled Desks to Pre-schoolers

Umaporn Withironprasert (8th from left), Assistant Vice President - Corporate Administration Department at Univentures Public Company Limited (UV), representing Thai-Lysaght Co., Ltd., joined forces with Getthip Hannarong (9th from left), Founder and CEO of Zero Waste YOLO Co., Ltd., to donate 50 sets of upcycled plastic desks to the Nuam Pradit Pre-school Child Development Center in Phasi Charoen District. The handover was received by Sanon Wangsrangboon (7th from left), Deputy Governor of Bangkok (BMA), along with BMA officials.
As a key contributor, Thai-Lysaght provided 130 kilograms of stretch plastic waste as the primary raw material for the desk surfaces.
This initiative is part of the DEKS: Desks for Deks project, which successfully repurposed over 210 kilograms of plastic waste, turning potential pollution into durable educational tools. It serves as a practical example of the Circular Economy in action—transforming waste into high-value assets for the community.
